My bestselling book, A Rose From Concrete: The Home That Love Built, tells how I overcame childhood adversity and a near-death experience to create a life defined by dreams and passions.

I began paving my path to uproot myself from poverty at age 17 by joining the Army National Guard during my senior year of high school.

Later, I graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Women, Gender, and Ethnic Studies, with a minor in Fine Arts. I grew up being told, “Children are to be seen and not heard.” While I struggled in school and felt held back by a learning disability,  resulting from a life of trauma,  I was eventually able to overcome those challenges, making education my outlet to discover my voice.

After obtaining my degree in Women & Ethnic Studies with a Minor in Fine arts from St. Cloud State University, and retiring from the military as a sergeant,  I  embarked on an impactful career as a social work case manager at St. Paul, Minnesota. In this role, I primarily served at-risk youth to serve as a role model, assisting them in setting and achieving life goals. This work was deeply soulful as I was once an at-risk youth living in poverty on those same streets. This served as a seed for my coaching career as I found joy in helping people and doing motivational interviewing and trauma informed care. 

In 2018, I made a three-year plan to make Speaking and coaching my full-time career. While still transforming likes as a social work case manager, I furthered my training in Public Speaking and Coaching. I joined Lisa Nichols’ Ignite Your Speaking and Writing program and, within a year, was invited to serve as a Speaker Advocate Coach in that program. Over a period of five years, I have coached four thousand speakers and business leaders all over the globe. 

In 2020, I launched Rose Inspires, my private coaching practice, and life has expanded tremendously since then. My practice is centered on guiding clients in finding and using their voice, whether through my signature Speak to Inspire coaching program or Amazon KDP and Booklaunch services for authors.  I have traveled the country for workshops and speaking engagements, meeting new and exciting clients seeking my storytelling expertise.

I love guiding clients in finding their voices and creating a path for them to speak on stage and publish their books. My favorite part of coaching is helping clients utilize their key life stories to create a successful business brand or career, using storytelling as a foundation for defining their brand visibility.

Each of us has a unique story that we can use to make an impact in our field & community. Every client I have the honor of working with has a reason for wanting to improve their speaking or publish their manuscript. For them , It may be time to share their story of survival to help others heal, or they may be corporate leaders or business owners who need to improve their presentation skills, ability to influence others through speaking.
